Obesity hypoventilation syndrome (also known as Pickwickian syndrome) is a condition in which badly obese individuals neglect to inhale fast enough or deeply enough, leading to low blood oxygen levels and large blood carbon dioxide (CO2) levels. The most successful treatment is weight reduction.
