Nudie Jeans was established in 1999 by a Swedish denim lover by the name of Maria Erixsson. Formally a rep, and then head of design for Lee in Scandinavia, Marie cut her teeth on the front line of the industry. Marie and fellow denim nut Joakim Levin created Nudie jeans out of a passion for raw denims.
